CHED Scholarship Application Guidelines

The Commission On Higher Education (CHED) is known for promoting the quality of higher education that is why CHED is very vital when we talk about education here in the Philippines.

Good thing is that our government is very generous to provide the CHED Scholarship Program to all deserving Filipino Students. They will provide either a full scholarship or half scholarship under the State Scholarship Program (SSP) and Private Education Financial Assistance (PESFA) to all qualified students. What Are The Qualifications To Be A Scholar?

  • Filipino Citizen
  • Graduating or High School Graduate with at least 85% General Average (GWA)
  • The Annual Gross Income of the parents or guardian must not exceed Php 400,000. If in case it exceeds the applicant must present certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college or medical findings of an ill family member.

What Are The Requirements Needed?

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. High school report card for incoming college
  3. Certified True Copy of Grades for Grade 11 while for Grade 12 a Certified True Copy of Grades on the first semester
  4. Applicant must submit any of these documents:
    -Certificate of Tax Exemption (BIR)
    -Latest Income Tax Return of Guardian
    -Certificate of Indigence (DSWD or Barangay)
    -Latest Copy of Proof of Income for OFWs or Seafarers
    -Case Study Report from DSWD
  5. Lastly, the applicant must choose a Priority Course Identified by CHED

Private Higher Education Institutions

Full Scholarship includes:

*Tuition and other School Fees (TOSF) Php 20,000
*Stipend Php 40,000
Total amountPhp 60,000

SEMESTRAL
*TOSF Php 10,000
*Stipend Php 20,000
Total amountPhp 30,000

Half Scholarship Includes:
ANNUAL
*TOSF Php 10,000
*Stipend Php 20,000
Total amountPhp 30,000

SEMESTRAL
*TOSF Php 5,000
*Stipend Php 10,000
Total amountPhp 15,000

State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) / Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs)

Full Scholarship includes:

*Stipend Php 40,000
Total amountPhp 60,000

SEMESTRAL
*TOSF FREE
*Stipend Php 20,000
Total amountPhp 30,000

Half Scholarship Includes:

  • Applicant must download the application form
  • Once downloaded, fill out the form
  • Submit the form
    -you can apply via walk-in application or;
    -you can send you the application form or;
    -you can send your application via courier
  • All the submission should be addressed to CHEDROs based on point of origin
